Privacy policy: BioStudio connector for Claude

What the connector can reach, what it keeps, and how you stay in control. Last updated 7 October 2026.

Who this covers

This policy covers the BioStudio connector that lets Claude (made by Anthropic) work with your BioStudio account at server.biostudioai.com. “We” means BioStudio AI. It adds to, and does not replace, the rules for your BioStudio account.

What the connector can reach

Only when you ask Claude something that needs it, the connector fetches from your BioStudio account:

If you allow changes, it can also add a task to a project you can edit, book an instrument, and cancel a booking you made or manage. It uses the same permissions you have in BioStudio, so it cannot show Claude anything you cannot see yourself.

It cannot reach the ELN, your uploaded files, Clarity data, AI model keys, billing or administration. Those parts of BioStudio refuse connector access.

What Claude receives

The results of the tools Claude runs for you are sent to Claude, and become part of your conversation with Claude. Anthropic handles that conversation under its own terms and privacy policy, which apply to your use of Claude. BioStudio does not control them.

What BioStudio keeps

An access token lasts one hour. A connection that is not used for 60 days expires. When you disconnect, the tokens stop working at once and the connection record is deleted within seven days.

Your choices

Security

Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, over HTTPS. You sign in on a BioStudio page, never in Claude, and your password is never shared with Claude. Connector tokens only work on the few BioStudio routes behind the tools listed in the documentation.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where the change affects what the connector reaches, ask you to connect again.
